Finals start this week and I wanted to share some of my favourite tips for staying motivated and relaxed during this week. I think we all need to be told that we will survive and everything will be okay and you will survive this week.
1.Get Some Sleep
I think this is my favourite tip by far. Sleeping helps so much to keep you ready for the week. If you sleep better you’ll be more alert and ready to study or take that exam. I think this is self-explanatory on why you should be sleeping but I know how this week can get. Don’t bother with late nights trying to cram in everything last minute. Night time is for sleeping. Try and shoot for 7 to 9 hours of sleep.
2. Schedule Your Studying/Projects
Honestly, this was the best thing I ever did. Instead of staying up all night writing that 1000 word essay or studying till I can’t stay up any longer, I look at my schedule and dedicate time to doing everything. On Monday’s I have a 4-hour break so instead of going home or watching YouTube videos I do a big chunk of work. I wrote most of my 2 essays and got some studying done. (I also edited a video and wrote this blog post) This helps so when I get home I don’t have to do it all at home when I know I won’t want to.
3. Have a Visual Schedule
I made a video about this and it’s up on my YouTube channel. Briefly, I like to see when everything is due and when I have exams. This helps me sort out what is the most important thing to do and when to do them. You can see more about it here:
